Welcome to Rodriguez Lawyers
There are many law firms in Melbourne who can competently deal with your legal issues and give you adequate legal advice. But sometimes you need more than just competent and adequate advice.
We are a small construction law firm which provides a range of services in resolving building disputes and building insurance claims.
Rodriguez Lawyers does not just offer services in litigating building disputes. We also offer:
- A multi-pronged approach by offering advice and representation in Adjudication under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 ("Security of Payment Act") and in Mediation services.
- We provide Costs agreements (as we are legally required to) which realistically estimate the costs you will be exposed to in respect of each defined stage of work before we begin the work.
- We offer extended and after hours consultations – whatever is necessary to get the job done.
- We will meet you wherever it is convenient.
- We have 38 years of combined legal experience both as advocates and negotiators.
- Our Mediators are Nationally Accredited.
- We have access to a network of professional services including building consultants, architects, engineers, rectifying builders and building surveyors.
Adjudication
This is a quick and relatively inexpensive method of recovering progress payments in respect of building projects (Payment Claims)
We have acted as Adjudicators and effectively represented clients in Adjudications under the Security of Payment Act.

Mediation
It is always preferable to attempt to resolve disputes by mediation.
A clear advantage of reaching a resolution through Mediation is the time and expense you will save. You will also avoid the stress and anxiety experienced by many parties to litigation.
